Audio & Design Compex-2 Compressor For Sale
1980’s ADR Compex-2 Compressor For Sale
Audio & Design (Recording) started in the mid 1960s and became a leading British manufacturer of audio signal-processing equipment for the music and broadcast industries, acquiring quite a reputation on both sides of the Atlantic for their high-quality dynamics processors, EQs and other outboard processors, which used mostly discrete transistor-based circuitry. Also, ADR were amongst the early pioneers in the digital-audio revolution in the 1980s.
In the 1980s, ADR developed the Compex 2, which maintained a similar functionality to the Compex F760X-RS but was housed in a 1U rack case. Compex 2 can be used as mono units, or linked as stereo pair via cable at the back with a “slave/master” switch for stereo operation.
