Late model 1064 with St Ives transformers, and B284 as opposed to B184 board, and B283 as opposed to B183 board. The B283 output board has been fixed- the TO3 can 2N3055 transistor isn’t original. All the boards appear to be original.
Technically speaking the non stepped ones, the ‘normal’ ones with pots for cut and boost, should actually be called 1064A; later the terms swapped, but after a few years the difference just faded away, and they are all now just called ‘1064’.
The mic input has been modded to remove the ‘Hi/Lo’ impedance switch. They did play up when not serviced, and some techs don’t know how to fix the switch. It now has no low impedance setting, where these will SHINE with a pair of Coles 4038 microphones over a drum kit. Recommend replacing the switch with an original.
For some reason the lovely Neve cable from the Phase switch to the rear of the modules have been changed for Mogami.
The B183 and B184 boards, and the HPF switch have had their tantalums replaced with electrolytics.
There is a new-looking resistor on the LO1166 output transformer. Either someone has messed around with the Zobel network or someone has decided it ‘has’ to have a 600 ohm load fitted (these module should be configured to sound amazing; they should not be ‘fixed’, as is often the case for broadcast) If the latter, recommend this be removed.
