Set on a lake, in the beautiful rural area of Tisienneri (known locally as little Switzerland).
15 minutes from an amazing beach (St Pitero), 25 minutes to a marina (Isola Rossa), 50 minutes to both major airports, with regular cheap flights to Alghero (Stansted, Ryanair) and Olbia (Gatwick, easyJet).Montiruju Hotel (with pool) 15 Minutes away.
The rusted corrugated iron wall, is something I picked up on my travels. It’s old, rusty and slightly flattened.
The acoustic effect on drums is great. It is suspended on acoustic tiles, so as not to rattle.
The wall with the double window thru to the control room, has stone, to give a brighter end to the room and the final wall is wall to wall acoustic curtaining.
The studio has air con, a loo and the live room has a floating wood floor. The sound is excellent. Also a large screen/projector for film work.
There are no outside noises like planes (although the occasional sheep bleat). I’ve even recorded vocals and acoustic guitars outside.
Temperature in the north of Sardinia is usually 10 degrees C above whats happening in the UK.
There are a few house around, so not a 3am type place. But the locals like it being there.
There is a bar 50 yards away, and main town 5 minute drive, with restaurants, supermarkets etc.
I’ve recorded three albums there and mixed more (whizwest.com). It really suits a producer/musician project studio.
So tranquil by the lake, musicians walk down to it to compose their songs.
