The Bungalow / The Main House
The house was designed by Stuart Sampley and built in 2013. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and covers 2385 sq ft.
The East facing floor-to-ceiling double sliding glass patio doors connect the living and dining rooms to an outdoor courtyard that has a Cowboy Pool and space for gathering around the gas fire pit.
The centrepiece kitchen is designed with Wolf appliances, Silestone countertops, custom cabinetry, and an impressive 50 sq ft center island topped with newly refinished walnut wood and serving as an anchor for the open layout of the communal living space.
The primary suite on the second level includes a private recessed balcony, an office/workout room, a large walk-in closet and a spa-like bathroom.
The Recording Studio
The recording studio was built for a great drum sound. Being a drummer and producer, this aspect is visibly the focus of the design layout.
Much of the studio construction was inspired by Electrical Audio with the use of porous Adobe brick and earthen plaster covering all other surfaces to give the live room great acoustics.
The vaulted live room catwalk also adds a quirkiness to the feel of the room and allows for room mics to be placed 15’ above drums and amps.
The whole studio outbuilding is a total of 1788 sq ft and is separated from the house by a brick patio, creating a cosy and private hang space for studio guests. In addition, it has its own kitchen lounge upstairs and bathroom, making it fully self-contained from the main house.
The control room was designed by Steve Durr and his signature UREI 813 monitoring system will remain, however the console is not included in the sale. The vendor is taking the equipment with them to their next home.
It is completely soundproof and designed to the highest spec for the vendor working at the top level; Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga are among the many artists and producers who have recorded here.
All the flooring throughout the main studio rooms are fully floated, with double walls and windows. There are mic/tie lines in all rooms and each section has its own AC unit to minimise spill.
